Work that matters
Every engagement reshapes how a business operates. You will see your fingerprints on the systems, processes, and leadership capacity of real African enterprises.
We hire rigorous, curious people who believe African businesses deserve institutional-grade support — and who want to help build it, one structured engagement at a time.
01 / Why Scale NXT
Working at Scale NXT means working on problems that matter. We help businesses build the structures that allow them to survive, scale, and outlive their founders. This is not glamorous work. It is necessary work — and it rewards people who choose execution over theory.
Every engagement reshapes how a business operates. You will see your fingerprints on the systems, processes, and leadership capacity of real African enterprises.
We hand people real responsibility early and expect them to own outcomes. If you thrive on autonomy and accountability, you will thrive here.
Every client engagement is a classroom. We invest in the development of our people because our quality depends entirely on their growth.
We practice what we preach. Our internal operations are structured, documented, and designed for scale. You will work inside a well-run firm.
02 / Career Tracks
Choose a track that matches the kind of problems you want to spend the next decade solving. Each one is a real career ladder — analyst to partner — not a rotation slot.
Diagnose complex business problems and translate them into structured paths forward. Work alongside founders and executive teams on strategy, market entry, business model redesign, and investor readiness.
Design the systems that allow ambitious businesses to actually run. Standard operating procedures, workflow architecture, process audits, and the quiet machinery that separates chaos from scale.
Build the organisational scaffolding that turns a group of good people into a high-performing team. Org design, performance systems, culture architecture, and the craft of leadership development.
Turn brand and demand generation into a disciplined system rather than a campaign calendar. Positioning, commercial architecture, growth experimentation, and the full funnel from awareness to repeat.
Bring data, automation, and well-chosen tools into businesses that still run on spreadsheets and memory. Platform selection, data modelling, automation architecture, and the change work that makes tools stick.
03 / Your Journey
A predictable arc with the scaffolding you need and the stretch that makes careers. No rotations for the sake of it — every phase is real client work with rising stakes.
Weeks 1–4
Immersion in the Scale NXT operating system: our methods, writing standards, client communication rituals, and the structure-first mindset we apply to every engagement.
Months 2–6
Paired with a senior operator on real client engagements. You ship deliverables, sit in client rooms, and get feedback weekly on the craft — not just the output.
Months 6–18
Lead a defined workstream inside an engagement. Own the analysis, the deliverable, and the client relationship for your piece of the problem — with partner oversight.
Year 2+
Run full engagements end-to-end. Scope, staff, deliver, and close. This is where consultants become operators — and operators become trusted advisors.
Year 3+
Shape a practice, build client portfolios, mentor the next generation. We promote from within and build long careers — not short stints.
04 / Who We Hire
We look less at the CV and more at the evidence — of rigour, of ownership, of the ability to hold a hard conversation with care. If the below sounds like you, we want to meet.
You break ambiguous problems into parts, form a hypothesis, and pressure-test it before you commit.
You can compress a week of analysis into a page of prose that an exhausted founder can act on.
You close loops, chase answers, and prefer shipping an 80% solution this week over a perfect one next month.
You tell the client the truth, even when the truth is uncomfortable. Our reputation is built on this single habit.
05 / How to Apply
Four steps from application to offer. We commit to responding to every candidate within ten working days — whether the answer is yes, no, or not yet.
Send your CV and a short note on why Scale NXT to careers@scalenxt.co, referencing the role in your subject line.
A focused written exercise — usually a short business problem — that takes two to three hours. We read every submission ourselves.
Two interviews: a live case discussion with a senior operator, and a conversation with a partner on values, fit, and ambition.
A decision within five working days of the final interview, followed by a structured four-week onboarding into the firm.
06 / Open Roles
We hire for capability, character, and commitment. If you see a role that fits, apply below — your email will be read by the hiring partner for that practice.
07 / Internship
Our internship program pairs final-year students and early-career professionals with an active engagement team. You will do real analysis, write real deliverables, and sit in real client rooms.
08 / Life at Scale NXT
“The first thing you notice is that the writing is taken seriously. The second is that everybody, from the analyst to the partner, has an opinion worth hearing. By year two you realise those two things are the same thing.

09 / Outsourcing Partners
Beyond our internal hiring, Scale NXT offers human resources outsourcing for businesses that need structured HR without the overhead of a full internal department.
10 / Questions
No. We hire from consulting, operating, and adjacent backgrounds. What matters is evidence of structured thinking, clear writing, and an ownership mindset.
Most roles are hybrid and anchored in Lagos — two to three days in the office, the rest flexible. A small number of roles are fully remote; these are flagged on the role itself.
Typically three to five weeks from application to offer. We commit to responding to every candidate within ten working days of a given stage.
Historically, over 60% of interns who complete the 12-week program receive a full-time offer. Performance is assessed against a published rubric shared on day one.
For senior roles with scarce skills, yes. For analyst and associate roles we generally hire locally. Reach out if you're unsure — we answer every enquiry.
Market-competitive for the region, with transparent bands by level. Full compensation details — base, performance bonus, benefits — are shared at the offer stage.
Don't see your role?
If you believe you have something to contribute to our mission but don't see a matching role, send us your CV and a short note on where you'd want to make a dent. We read every email.
